Privacy Policy

This policy describes the information collected during a visit, the purposes for which it is used, and the limited circumstances in which another party may receive it. By using Teller County Court Docket, you agree to the practices stated here.

Data You Give Us Directly

Search Queries

A name or case number entered in a search tool is sent directly to the outside provider that operates that tool. The provider processes the query and supplies the response. Teller County Court Docket does not retain or record those search terms on its own systems.

Messages and Contact Submissions

An email or contact submission may be kept as needed to answer it. The message is not shared outside the organization unless disclosure is required by law.

Data We Gather Automatically

When a page loads, the servers automatically receive basic technical and usage details, including:

  • Your device's assigned IP address
  • Browser name and version
  • Operating system and device category
  • Pages viewed and time spent on them
  • A referring website, when one is reported
  • The date and time associated with each view

Cookies and Analytics

Cookies are small files placed on a device to help measure how the site is used, such as popular pages and common exit points. Analytics providers combine that traffic into reports. You can block cookies through browser controls, although doing so may change how parts of the site function.

What We Do With This Data

  • Operating the site and maintaining reasonable load times
  • Routing a search request to the appropriate outside provider
  • Assessing which pages are useful and which may need improvement
  • Diagnosing errors and other technical problems
  • Displaying advertising that may reflect visitor interests

No Court-Record Data on File

Teller County Court Docket does not host, maintain, compile, or sell a database of court dockets or personal case-record data. It provides general directions to the Clerk of Court, Teller County Combined Court, the Colorado Judicial Branch Docket Search, and other official record channels. Colorado Chief Justice Directive 05-01 and PAIRR 1 govern access to judicial case records. The Colorado Open Records Act generally concerns public records but is not the usual route for a Teller District Court or County Court case file. Visitor information is not assembled into consumer reports or third-party case profiles, and this website is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act.

Third-Party Search Partners

Outside companies operate the search boxes. Information submitted through a box is governed by that provider's privacy policy rather than this policy. Each provider controls its retention and disclosure practices. Review those terms before entering a query.

Links to Other Websites

Links may lead to the Colorado Judicial Branch, Teller County court resources, legal-aid organizations, or outside search services. Leaving this website means the destination's privacy rules apply. Read them before supplying personal information.

Some advertising providers may track activity across websites to select advertisements. That activity takes place through the provider's systems.

Who Might See Your Data

Personal data is not sold. Information may be disclosed to:

  • Search providers that process a query you submit
  • Analytics companies that measure traffic and performance
  • Advertising networks that serve ads on the pages
  • Government authorities or law enforcement when a valid legal order compels disclosure

How We Protect Your Data

Reasonable, commonly used safeguards are applied to collected information. No internet system can be guaranteed secure, so the website cannot promise that unauthorized access or a breach will never occur.

Users Under 18

The website is intended for adults and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone younger than 18. If information from a minor is identified, a request may be made for its deletion.

Your Data Rights

Depending on where you live and which law applies, Colorado privacy and consumer-protection rules may provide additional control over personal data. At a minimum, you can:

  • Request access to personal data kept about you
  • Ask that inaccurate information be corrected
  • Seek deletion of personal information
  • Object to certain forms of processing

Updates to This Policy

This policy may be revised. Any revision will be posted here with an updated effective date, so this page should be reviewed periodically for changes.
